From individual lifestyle changes, to working with an organisation, there are many ways you can play your part. We understand that some people are able to do more then others due to time, interest and money, so we gathered a variety of ideas for you to explore!
We have several student groups that take part in community action, here are a selection of societies you can join who focus on sustainability and similar topics:
Green Bubble acts as a student sustainability group, which aims to inspire and empower students to make a positive difference to the sustainability of our campus and community through individual actions and/or collaboration. Anybody can get involved by attending meetings, the next meeting is TBC

Are you an external organisation who wants to reach out to students about Sustainability or looking to recruit volunteers? You can also get involved via our volunteering portal, we are always looking for exciting new partnerships.
The university as well as student volunteers has collaborated with The Trussell Trust (Leicester South foodbank) and have launched Leicester Collecting Together. This is a systematic and sustainable way for the University to support not only our own community, via the Community Kitchen, but also our local communities.
A proportion of what is collected will be taken to our own Community Kitchen to support students and staff who are in need. The remainder of all that is collected will be distributed to food banks within the community by The Trussell Trust.
