We are a society formed to tackle and raise awareness for humanitarian causes, whether it is within the Leicester community, across the UK or beyond.
Whether it is volunteering at a homeless drive, hiking in awareness for mental health or attending fun socials where you can meet like-minded individuals and make friends, we have something that can benefit just about anyone!
About us:
We are a brand new society, having only been founded in 2023. Our aims are to host fundraisers for various humanitarian issues, as well as events that raise awareness and provide insight into these topics. We plan to host discussions about a diverse range of social issues, creating a safe environment for members to open up within. We are completely non-partial, we wish to host events that are accessible to everyone, regardless of faith, ethnicity, political alignment, etc. Our upcoming monthly newsletter will tackle similar societal issues, featuring interviews from guest speakers and a space where passionate and aspiring students can have their work showcased. Some of the various humanitarian topics we wish to discuss and tackle include:
- Homelessness
- Mental Health
- Cost of Living Crisis
- Gender Equality
- Poverty
- Warzones

We truly believe just about anyone can gain something from being a member of our society. Not only will you be able to give back to the community and contribute to the greater good of society, but you'll also have access to a variety of opportunities that will boost your CV and provide you with strong employability skills.
For students enrolled in humanities degree programs (and others with an interest in humanitarian and global affairs) , our society provides the amazing opportunity to work on our monthly newsletter. This extra-curricular experience is an exciting way to boost career prospects and your academic profile, as well as work on something you're passionate about.

Monthly Newsletter:
Our Newsletter is published every month, containing information about upcoming events, exclusive interviews with guest speakers, and rivetting articles written by our Newsletter Officer Mariya and other students. To access our first issue for free sign up to this mailing list.
Membership Fees:
Standard Membership - Free
Premium Membership - 5 pounds for the entire year- Access to Monthly Newsletter, discounts to attend events, priority to limited volunteering opportunities, chance to have work published within Newsletter (great for cv).
