We aim to improve the University of Leicester by focusing on making sustainable changes in-line with the UN Global Goals.
Join us in helping the University become a more sustainable place by getting involved through a range of events and activities!
Last year was our society’s very first year of running, and we achieved so much...
In our first term we worked closely with the University’s Social Impact team to make real changes on campus. We also ran campaigns alongside the University's Standing Together movement, and went on a trip to the University's waste management site, getting stuck in and learning about the university's waste and carbon footprint.
However, our main impact came in term two. We spearheaded the University's 'GO Green Week' in February by running a variety of events, from our topical Palm Oil Debate with University experts to our very own Zero-Waste pop-up shop ‘WasteLeics’ which was incredibly successful.
This year our plans only get bigger, and so does our impact. If you would like to get involved with making your University a more positive place, and become a part of its future, then get in touch!
