The society is very social, very cool, very demure.  Our weekly chess meets are a great way to meet new people and make friends. We're made up of a wide range of chess ability from beginner to moderately advanced so you are likely to find someone that you can have a good game with. You’re welcome to join us whatever your skill level. And if you don’t even know the rules, don’t worry: you can learn to play chess at any age. We will also help players improve their chess ability from beginner to high intermediate levels. We participate in the local league matches (if demand is high enough) and hopefully will be participating in the next BUCA championships as we have in 2023-2024.
