Leicester SCRUBS is the student surgical and anaesthetic society at the University of Leicester. The society provides any medical student with an interest in pursuing a career in surgery or anaesthetics a good head start, by holding revision sessions in the surgical aspects of the course from the anatomy in year 1 all the way through to finals.
We also hold events throughout the year for non-medical students and the public, including our Getting into medicine as a graduate and the Dark Side of Anatomy talks.
We work in partnership with the Royal College of Surgeons of England and members are able to take advantage of various opportunities including:
- Career talks
- Teaching sessions
- Conferences
- Courses
- Discounted books
- Mentoring scheme
- Revision days/ sessions
The extensive resources and relationships we have built with various clinical experts over the years have ensured that all members get events of the highest quality.
We often get discounts for our members to attend external courses saving more than they paid to become members.
