Tired of the hustle and bustle of the city? Want to escape for a day or two and go walking in the hills? Then this is the club for you.

We're looking for a President, Treasurer and Wellbeing and Inclusion Ambassador!

We regularly take day trips to local areas such as the Peak District, the countryside of Leicestershire and the welsh borders and weekend trips to the spectacular mountain ranges of the lake district and Wales and the moors of the south west, spending an exhilarating day walking in the hills and mountains, perhaps followed by a rewarding drink in a local pub.

Climbing some of Britain's highest and most picteresque peaks gives members a real sense of achievement (and something to impress friends with in Monday morning lectures!).

One of the best things about the society, aside from the friendly atmosphere and fantastic walks, is that it fits around you. There is no obligation to join every trip – you can choose the ones you have time for, that you may have an interest in, and that suit your abilities.

Meeting Times: Generally, day walks are held every other weekend on Saturdays, and weekends away happen in the Spring. Society social events may occur throughout each term. Details for all events will become available as they are available to book :)

How can I get involved? 

Being on Committee is also a fantastic way to gain great skills and experiences to make you stand out in your time at Leicester and beyond! This group is looking for:

• President - to run the student group
• Treasurer - to look after the group's finances
• Wellbeing and Inclusion Ambassador - to ensure members are adequately signposted on wellbeing issues, and ensure the club reflect values of inclusivity
