For the last 7-years, the University of Leicester’s African Caribbean Society has been dedicated to enabling students to embrace the plethora of cultures in Africa and the Caribbean. This year, our objectives are to educate, entertain, and empower the BAME community by putting together a variety of events and activities. We would like to see a development of cultural and professional enhancement as a collective and inclusive society. As such, we aim to engage our members in various career and cultural oriented events, as well as create opportunities for practical experience with our sponsors.

Some of the many events we have planned this year are:

• Well-being events (particular focus on mental health and sexual assault support)

• Career Fairs
• Fun Days / Games Nights

• Collaborations with other societies and universities
• Fitness events throughout the year and much more!

Our doors are open to ANYONE. As an inclusive society, this is the ideal place to meet amazing new people throughout the year and learn about different African and Caribbean cultures. We hope to see you soon! #WeAreOne
