We would like to welcome you to the University of Leicester Paediatric Society!
As paediatric teaching is limited until the final year of the course, we aim to improving experience of paediatrics through various engaging methods such as first aid training, lectures and social events.  Our events have been a huge success with excellent turnout and 100% of those who attended our events say their overall experience  was 'good' or 'excellent'. Following on from that,  we have aimed to push boundaries by collaborating with other societies, and even potentially other medical schools, to provide an even broader range of events.

The vast majority of specialties in medicine and surgery involve some degree of paediatrics and you don't have to be interested in a career solely in paediatrics to benefit from the society.  We provide certificates of attendance to all those who attend events and these can be used as part of your personal and professional development portfolio. If all this hasn't convinced you so far, refreshments are also provided!
We hold a variety of lecture based events where paediatricians come to talk about their experiences as well as paediatric-orientated fundraising opportunities. There are also opportunities to attend practical events such as our hugely popular first aid training. All our events will be publicised on our Instagram page @uolpaedsoc.
