We are the Sports and Exercise Medicine Society at the University of Leicester. Our aim is to provide education and exposure of the medical specialty, Sports and Exercise Medicine, to students who take an interest in it.
Our plans for the 2025/26 academic year are:
- A collaborative online webinar with GP Soc and Public Health Soc. This will be delivered by Moving Medicine and will be centred around encouraging physical activity in patients through consultation skills.
- An MSK teaching series, which will focus on comming musculokeletal injuries which may be assessed in end of year exams, with additional context into how they would be managed within the Sports and Exercise Medicine specialty.
- And most excitingly, we are delighted to be hosting this year's national USEMS conference. Please visit the 'events' section of the society page for more details about this.
