Are you interested in research or would like to find out more about the latest, cutting-edge developments in medicine? Then LUMRS could be for you! We hold events every term that showcase the latest research from current medical students, as well as senior speakers who are leaders in the field – including Professor David Nutt, and many others. We are open to students with interest in research at any level – whether you want to come along to learn something new, or whether you have significant research experience from a previous degree, and would like an opportunity to talk to others about your research – all are welcome! In addition, if you would like to get involved in research during your studies, we facilitate students to get involved with active research projects going on in the university via our LINK initiative – where students can apply for smaller research projects they can undertake alongside their studies. Membership is free, and all our events have free wine and food, so why not come along to one of our events and give us a try! If you'd like to find out more, check us out on our website, on Facebook and follow us on Twitter @lumrsofficial !
