The University of Leicester Gujarati Society is a space for students with a Gujarati background, as well as anyone interested in Gujarati culture, to meet new people and feel part of a community on campus. Our aim is to create a relaxed, welcoming environment where students can connect, socialise, and celebrate culture together.
We run a mix of social and cultural events throughout the year, giving members the chance to get involved in ways that suit them. You don’t need to speak Gujarati or have grown up around the culture. The society is open to everyone and focused on bringing people together.
Above all, we want the society to feel friendly, inclusive, and easy to be part of. Whether you’re looking to meet new people, stay connected to your culture, or just try something different at uni, Gujarati Society is a space for you.
Membership is £5 for the academic year and helps support the running of the society and future events. It also allows you to stay updated on what we’re doing throughout the year and be part of the Leicester Gujarati Society community.
