Campaigning with Oxfam can be a powerful way to influence change for the better.
The University of Leicester Oxfam Society supports Oxfam UK in its work on vital issues to tackle the root causes of poverty. From life's basics - food, water, health and education - to complex questions around aid, climate change and human rights.
The society is running 2024/25 so please sign up for our mailing list if you're unsure about joining. We will be sending regular updates on our activities planned when term commences.
Winners of the University of Leicester Fundraising Society of the Year for 2014-2015, and nominated for the Green Impact Award for 2017, we help to raise awareness of current issues through out of the box events and campaigning, raising money and the signing of petitions.

Over the next year we intend to stay focused on such things as the Yemen crisis, Local homelessness, Equality, Climate Change, Gender Equality and much, much more. As a society we are open to all fundraising ideas and causes, and would love you to join for further inspiration!
We also encourage a social, relaxed atmosphere where you can be confident and enjoy your time with like minded people! Previously we have participated in bowling, dessert crawls, group meals, crazy golf and have many more exciting and alternative socials awaiting for 2024/25
Our meetings are held every Thursday from 6-8pm at the SU Board Room, so be sure to come along!
