Criminal Law Society

ULCLS was founded by our President, Naalini Nagpal and Vice-President, Harnoor Diyal

ULCLS aims to be a skills-driven community for students dedicated to criminal law, advocacy, and justice reform in the United Kingdom, Canada and the European Union. We are comitted to bridging the gap between theory and practice through hands-on learning and practical opportunities. Our mission is to deepen understanding of criminal responsibility, sentencing, rehabilitation, and restorative justice, while highlighting the vital role of Legal Aid, public interest law, and non-traditional legal career paths in advancing meaningful and corrective justice.

Naalini Nagpal (President) - bk201@student.le.ac.uk

How do I become a Founding Member??!!

(YOU MUST BE A MEMBER TO RUN FOR EXECUTIVE POSITION ELECTIONS - Option 2: 'CRIMINAL LAW SOCIETY STANDARD MEMBERSHIP' - £10)

In light of being newly established, we have created two different types of memberships to accomodate all Law Students!

1. If you are a final year law student (2nd Year JD Pathway or 3rd Year LLB) - Please click on the tab 'products' and purchase a membership at the price of £5. This will ensure you are a founding member of our society until you graduate. Memberships for these are limited.

2. If you are a first or second year law student (1st Year JD/LLB or 2nd Year LLB) - Please click on 'Criminal Law Society Standard Membership' at the top right of this page itself and purchase a membership at the price of £10. This will ensure that not only are you a founding member of our society for the rest of this academic year but it also covers your membership for next year.

If you miss this opportunity, all memberships will be £10 for each academic year moving forward.
