As international students ourselves, we understand how leaving home to study in a foreign country can be both exciting and challenging. Our society aims to create a tight-knit Malaysian community in Leicester, a true “home away from home”. Through our events, meals, and activities, we hope you’ll make unforgettable memories during your time at university.
We organise socials throughout the year, including festive celebrations, sports sessions, and cultural events. We also connect with Malaysians across the UK through nationwide Msoc gatherings. These are an amazing chance to forge friendships and widen your network.
At the same time, we love sharing our diverse Malaysian culture (and South-East Asian traditions!) with the wider student body, bringing everyone together to experience our food, games, and heritage.

Welcome to the 26/27 Student Group Elections. Please note before nominating that manifestos are compulsory for your nomination to be eligible! There is a minimum word count of 10 and anybody without a manifesto will be disqualified. Guidance on writing a manifesto can be found below. All nominees and voters must have a 25/26 membership to the student group.
