Do you like asking the bigger questions? Do you love a healthy discussion on controverisial topics?
Then Medical Ethics Student Society is perfect for you!
We all know the importance of medical ethics in our careers, and MESS aims to help students integrate this into everyday medical practice, highlighting its importance in clinical scenarios whilst also going about it in a light and enjoyable way!
We aim to run regular events aimed at all years, and to cover a variety of themes, all extremely relevant to our practice as future doctors. Staff from a variety of disciplines across the university will come to share their view on topics that they have been involved in, and the society will aid students in submitting posters or presentations to regional or national IME (Institute for Medical Ethics) conferences. Our events are open to anyone to come along to, and participation is encouraged but not mandatory (so don't worry if you don't feel comfortable to speak up yet!). We also have a few socials throughout the year, so its a great way to meet likeminded people from different years.
Hope to see you guys at future events!
