How do you think your best friends describe you? The One Ben to Rule them all.
What inspired you to become a PTO? Sport has shaped my Leicester journey – from competing in BUCS teams to enjoying our campus leagues. I’ve seen where we’ve thrived and where we can improve, and I want to represent every student involved in sport, be their go-to contact, and make sure all voices are heard. My goal is to help make Leicester’s sporting offer the best it can be for everyone.
What can you offer students in your role? I have experience across multiple sports at ranges of levels, from playing internationally to socially and a proven track record of running teams and clubs successfully. I’ll listen, speak up for clubs, push for greater transparency, and work to ensure every club gets the most from our facilities and funding.
What is the most important change you want to make this year? I want our sporting community to be known for its sense of a welcoming, inclusive community. By celebrating our successes, tackling issues head-on, and working closely with students & their clubs, we can build a reputation everyone’s proud to be part of.
Hobbies and interests: Playing Water Polo, Hockey & trying out all sorts of new sports. I'm also an avid comic book collector and so-so film buff on occasion.
